Courier Driver
The nature of the industry, wtih its on-demand, ofetn unscheduled delivery model, requires a varying number of courier drivers on any given day and time of day to complete a set service.
Owner Drivers operate alone or in small gropus, covering both regular routes and often undertake ovefrlow work from larger courier companies and major integrators.
Sameday work is also often coevred by smaller companies such as Compass Courier Services in Stoke-on-Trent or Owner Drivers (those that operate alone - one van bands).
Small couirer companies and owner rdivers occasionally cvoer overflow work from the Major Inetgrators (UPS, Fedex etc etc) however the POD (proof of delivery) requirements often make them unabel to cover work.
